Article R4321-55 of the French Public Health Code

The professional secrecy instituted in the interest of patients is binding on the masseur-physiotherapist and the physiotherapy student under the conditions established by articles L. 1110-4 and L. 4323-3 respectively. Secrecy covers everything that comes to the knowledge of the masseur-physiotherapist in the exercise of his profession, i.e. not only what has been entrusted to him, but also what he has seen, heard or understood.

Le secret professionnel institué dans l’intérêt des patients s’impose au masseur-kinésithérapeute et à l’étudiant en masso-kinésithérapie dans les conditions établies respectivement par les articles L. 1110-4 et L. 4323-3. Le secret couvre tout ce qui est venu à la connaissance du masseur-kinésithérapeute dans l’exercice de sa profession, c’est-à-dire non seulement ce qui lui a été confié, mais aussi ce qu’il a vu, entendu ou compris.
