Where this is not possible, any start-up is automatically preceded by an audible or visual warning signal. The exposed worker must have the time and the means to quickly remove himself from the risks generated by starting or possibly stopping the work equipment.

Les organes de mise en marche sont disposés de telle sorte que l’opérateur est capable, depuis leur emplacement, de s’assurer de l’absence de personnes dans les zones dangereuses.
Lorsque cela est impossible, toute mise en marche est précédée automatiquement d’un signal d’avertissement sonore ou visuel. Le travailleur exposé doit avoir le temps et les moyens de se soustraire rapidement à des risques engendrés par le démarrage ou éventuellement par l’arrêt de l’équipement de travail.
