Article R434-22 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Where the applicant does not yet have the dwelling at the time of the application for family reunification, the verification is carried out on the basis of documents drawn up and signed by the owner or vendor and the applicant mentioning the date of availability, as well as the surface area and all the characteristics making it possible to assess the comfort and habitability of the dwelling in accordance with the conditions mentioned in article R. 434-5.

Lorsque le demandeur ne dispose pas encore du logement au moment de la demande de regroupement familial, la vérification est opérée au vu des documents établis et signés par le propriétaire ou le vendeur et le demandeur mentionnant la date de disponibilité, ainsi que la superficie et l’ensemble des caractéristiques permettant d’apprécier le confort et l’habitabilité du logement conformément aux conditions mentionnées à l’article R. 434-5.
