In the event of an emergency caused by a serious danger to workers, the Minister responsible for labour may, by order, limit, regulate or prohibit the marketing or use, for whatever purpose, as well as the employment of a dangerous substance or mixture, without seeking the opinion of the Conseil d’orientation des conditions de travail.
The period of validity of the order may not exceed six non-renewable months. It may, however, be extended to twelve months on the advice of the Conseil d’orientation sur les conditions de travail.
