Article R4412-50 of the French Labour Code

In addition to the information and prevention visits and additional examinations which the worker receives, the employer shall have the occupational physician examine any worker exposed to the chemical agents mentioned in Article R. 4412-44 who claims to be bothered by the work he is performing.

This examination may be carried out at the worker’s request.

The occupational physician is informed by the employer of absences due to illness lasting more than ten days of workers exposed to these chemical agents.

En dehors des visites d’information et de prévention et des examens complémentaires dont le travailleur bénéficie, l’employeur fait examiner par le médecin du travail tout travailleur exposé à des agents chimiques mentionnés à l’article R. 4412-44 qui se déclare incommodé par des travaux qu’il exécute.

Cet examen peut être réalisé à la demande du travailleur.

Le médecin du travail est informé par l’employeur des absences, pour cause de maladie d’une durée supérieure à dix jours, des travailleurs exposés à ces agents chimiques.
