I. – The employer shall appoint a person to act as hyperbaric prevention advisor. Under the employer’s responsibility, this advisor shall participate in particular in :
1° In the risk assessment provided for in Article R. 4461-3 ;
2° The implementation of all measures to ensure the health and safety of workers working in hyperbaric environments;
3° The continuous improvement of risk prevention based on the analysis of work situations.
II – Only workers holding the certificate provided for in II of Article R. 4461-27 may be appointed as hyperbaric prevention advisors.
III – In companies with less than eleven employees, the employer may hold this position provided that he holds the certificate mentioned in II above.
The number of employees and the fact that the threshold of eleven employees has been crossed are determined in accordance with the procedures laid down in article L. 130-1 of the Social Security Code.
