Article R4461-40 of the French Labour Code

Teams carrying out work in a hyperbaric environment, as referred to in 2° of Article R. 4461-1, are made up of at least two people:

1° An operator working in a hyperbaric environment who holds a hyperbaric fitness certificate;

2° A supervisor, trained to provide first aid in the event of an emergency, who ensures the safety of workers working in a hyperbaric environment from a suitable location subject to local atmospheric pressure and containing means of communication, warning and rescue.

Article R4461-40

Les équipes réalisant une intervention en milieu hyperbare, mentionnée au 2° de l’article R. 4461-1, sont constituées d’au moins deux personnes :

1° Un opérateur intervenant en milieu hyperbare titulaire du certificat d’aptitude à l’hyperbarie ;

2° Un surveillant, formé pour donner en cas d’urgence les premiers secours, qui veille à la sécurité des travailleurs intervenant en milieu hyperbare à partir d’un lieu adapté soumis à la pression atmosphérique locale et regroupant les moyens de communication, d’alerte et de secours.
