The employer must ensure that the construction of buildings and the nature of the materials used are such that, in the event of a pyrotechnic event, the risk of large masses being projected is reduced as much as possible.
It also ensures that the materials making up the walls, doors, windows and in particular the glazing of buildings located in the effect zones and which may be occupied by workers, do not produce sharp splinters if they are likely to be shattered by internal or external overpressure.
In the event of a pyrotechnic event occurring in a neighbouring pyrotechnic installation, it must take steps to prevent major roof or ceiling elements from falling from a building normally occupied by workers.
