In addition to the fitness examinations on recruitment and at regular intervals, as well as information and prevention visits, the worker shall, at his request or that of the employer, be examined by the occupational physician or by another health professional mentioned in article L. 4624-1, at the worker’s choice, under the conditions set out in article R. 4623-14.
The worker may request a medical examination in particular, when he anticipates a risk of unfitness, with the aim of initiating a process to maintain employment and benefit from personalised support.
The employee’s request may not give rise to any sanction.
The occupational physician may also organise a medical examination for any worker who requires it.
