Article R4643-31 of the French Labour Code

On their own initiative or at the request of a member of the staff delegation of the social and economic committee, the persons mentioned in the first and second paragraphs of article R. 4643-30 carry out technical investigations into the causes of accidents at work and occupational or work-related illnesses in undertakings which do not have a social and economic committee.

In other undertakings, these persons may take part in these investigations at the request of the employer or a member of the social and economic committee.

De leur propre initiative ou à la demande d’un membre la délégation du personnel du comité social et économique, les personnes mentionnées aux premier et deuxième alinéas de l’article R. 4643-30 procèdent aux enquêtes techniques sur les causes des accidents du travail et des maladies professionnelles ou à caractère professionnel dans les entreprises qui ne disposent pas d’un comité social et économique.

Dans les autres entreprises, ces personnes peuvent participer à ces enquêtes à la demande de l’employeur ou d’un membre du comité social et économique.
