Article R511-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Members of staff of a credit institution or finance company who have been authorised to sign on behalf of the company may not hold any other job or perform any paid work outside the company without first informing the company’s management.

This provision does not apply to the production of scientific, literary or artistic works.

Article R511-1

Les membres du personnel d’un établissement de crédit ou d’une société de financement, lorsqu’ils ont reçu le pouvoir de signer pour le compte de cette entreprise, ne peuvent occuper un autre emploi ni effectuer un travail rétribué en dehors de cette entreprise sans en avoir, au préalable, informé la direction de l’entreprise.

Cette disposition ne s’applique pas à la production des oeuvres scientifiques, littéraires ou artistiques.
