Article R512-47 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The geographical jurisdictions of the savings and provident institutions and other credit institutions or finance companies affiliated to the central body of the caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires are determined by the central body of the caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires. The aforementioned savings and provident institutions, credit institutions and finance companies may open branches with the authorisation of the central body of the savings banks and banques populaires.

Les ressorts géographiques des caisses d’épargne et de prévoyance et des autres établissements de crédit ou sociétés de financement affiliés à l’organe central des caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires sont fixés par l’organe central des caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires. Les caisses d’épargne et de prévoyance ainsi que les établissements de crédit et les sociétés de financement susmentionnés peuvent ouvrir des succursales après autorisation de l’organe central des caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires.
