In order to allow contraceptive treatment to continue when all the contraceptives prescribed have been dispensed, the pharmacist may dispense, for a period not exceeding six months, the oral contraceptives mentioned on the prescription, if :
1° The contraceptive in question is not on the list referred to in the second paragraph of article L. 5125-23-1;
2° The prescription is less than one year old.
The additional dispensing period carried out by the pharmacist either on renewal of the prescription by the nurse pursuant to article L. 4311-1, or on his own initiative under this article, or cumulatively by both, may not exceed a total of six months.
