Article R518-31 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The consignment receipts issued in Paris by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and, outside Paris, by its agents, briefly state the rulings, judgments, acts or causes giving rise to the said consignments; and in the event that the funds deposited come from a loan, and that there is reason to make a subrogation in favour of the lender, express mention is made of the declaration made by the depositor, in accordance with articles 1346-1 and 1346-2 of the Civil Code, which produces the same effect of subrogation as if it had been made before a notary.

Article R518-31
