Article R521-16 of the French Commercial code

Where the request for an amended registration relates to information concerning the debtor or the owner of the property when he is not the debtor and which is referred to in 2°, 3° and 4° of article R. 521-6, the registrar shall replace the information registered with this information. For leasing transactions involving movable property, only the information concerning the debtor is replaced.

In other cases, the court clerk shall replace the information entered with that information.
In other cases, the registrar shall enter the amending information in the margin of the initial registration, together with the date of that registration.

Lorsque la demande d’inscription modificative porte sur des informations qui concernent le débiteur ou le propriétaire du bien lorsqu’il n’est pas le débiteur et qui sont visées au 2°, 3° et au 4° de l’article R. 521-6, le greffier remplace les informations inscrites par ces informations. Pour les opérations de crédit-bail en matière mobilière, seules les informations qui concernent le débiteur sont remplacées.

Dans les autres cas, le greffier reporte en marge de l’inscription initiale les informations modificatives avec la date de cette inscription.
