Article R5211-36 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The Prefect convenes the Departmental Commission for Intercommunal Cooperation. The notice is sent to the members of the relevant panel in writing and at their home addresses at least five days before the day of the meeting, accompanied by the agenda and an explanatory report for each item on the agenda. In urgent cases, this period may be reduced to three days.

Panels of the departmental commissions for inter-municipal cooperation may meet in inter-departmental formation when the projects examined concern communes belonging to different departments. The interdepartmental committee is chaired jointly by the prefects of these departments. The provisions of articles R. 5211-35 to R. 5211-40 apply to it.

Le préfet convoque la commission départementale de la coopération intercommunale. La convocation est adressée aux membres de la formation concernée par écrit et à domicile cinq jours au moins avant le jour de la réunion, accompagnée de l’ordre du jour et d’un rapport explicatif pour chaque affaire inscrite à l’ordre du jour. En cas d’urgence, ce délai peut être réduit à trois jours.

Les formations des commissions départementales de la coopération intercommunale peuvent se réunir en formation interdépartementale lorsque les projets examinés intéressent des communes appartenant à des départements différents. La formation interdépartementale est présidée conjointement par les préfets de ces départements. Les dispositions des articles R. 5211-35 à R. 5211-40 lui sont applicables.
