Article R53-37 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Statements made by persons heard at several points in the territory are transcribed in the various minutes that are drawn up under the direction of the judicial police officer, public prosecutor or investigating judge in charge of the proceedings. If there are differences in the transcriptions of statements made by the same person, only those appearing in the report signed by the person concerned or drawn up under the conditions laid down by article 706-58.

Les déclarations faites par les personnes entendues en plusieurs points du territoire sont retranscrites dans les différents procès-verbaux qui sont élaborés sous la direction de l’officier de police judiciaire, du procureur de la République ou du juge d’instruction qui est chargé de la procédure. S’il apparaît des différences dans les retranscriptions des déclarations d’une même personne, seules font foi celles figurant dans le procès-verbal signé par l’intéressé ou établi dans les conditions fixées par l’article 706-58.
