Article R53-8-5 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The prison administration shall without delay inform the public prosecutor of the place of conviction, or that of Nantes if the person was convicted abroad, of the notification of obligations it has made in accordance with Article R. 53-8-9.

The specially authorised prison registrar shall immediately record in the file the date of committal and release, the address of the residence declared by the person released, if different from the last registered residence and, on the instructions of the public prosecutor, the date of the notification made in accordance with article R. 53-8-9.

L’administration pénitentiaire informe sans délai le procureur de la République du lieu de condamnation, ou celui de Nantes si la personne a été condamnée à l’étranger, de la notification des obligations à laquelle elle a procédé conformément à l’article R. 53-8-9.

L’agent du greffe pénitentiaire spécialement habilité enregistre sans délai dans le fichier la date de mise sous écrou et de libération, l’adresse du domicile déclaré par la personne libérée, si elle est différente du dernier domicile enregistré et, sur instruction du procureur de la République, la date de la notification à laquelle il a été procédé conformément à l’article R. 53-8-9.
