Article R55-7 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

If, following the exercise of a right of appeal, the person who has voluntarily paid the fine applies for restitution of the sums paid in accordance with the provisions of the third paragraph of article 707-2, this application must be lodged with the accounting officer of the Directorate General of Public Finances responsible for recovering the fine.

Article R55-7

Si, à la suite de l’exercice d’une voie de recours, la personne qui s’est acquittée volontairement du paiement de l’amende demande la restitution des sommes versées conformément aux dispositions du troisième alinéa de l’article 707-2, cette demande doit être déposée auprès du comptable de la direction générale des finances publiques compétent pour le recouvrement de l’amende.
