Article R552-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

People accommodated in an accommodation facility for asylum seekers mentioned in article L. 552-1 whose monthly resources are equal to or greater than the amount of the active solidarity income defined in article L. 262-2 of the social action and family code pay a financial contribution towards their accommodation and maintenance costs, under conditions defined by order of the ministers for social affairs, asylum and the budget. The amount of the financial contribution takes into account:
1° The resources of the person or family being accommodated;
2° The expenses remaining to be paid by the person or family during the period of accommodation.
The person being accommodated pays their financial contribution directly to the manager of the place of accommodation, who issues them with a receipt.

Les personnes hébergées dans un lieu d’hébergement pour demandeurs d’asile mentionné à l’article L. 552-1 dont le niveau de ressources mensuelles est égal ou supérieur au montant du revenu de solidarité active défini à l’article L. 262-2 du code de l’action sociale et des familles s’acquittent d’une participation financière à leurs frais d’hébergement et d’entretien, dans des conditions définies par arrêté des ministres des affaires sociales, de l’asile et du budget. Le montant de la participation financière tient compte notamment :
1° Des ressources de la personne ou de la famille accueillie ;
2° Des dépenses restant à sa charge pendant la période d’accueil.
La personne accueillie acquitte directement sa participation financière au gestionnaire du lieu d’hébergement qui lui en délivre récépissé.
