Article R552-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

If the asylum seeker accepts the offer of accommodation, the Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration (French Office for Immigration and Integration) will inform them of the place to which they must move.
This place of accommodation is located in the region where the asylum seeker went to register their asylum application or in another region, in application of the national reception plan mentioned in article L. 551-1.
Asylum seekers who have not presented themselves to the manager of the accommodation within five days of the Office’s decision are deemed to have refused the offer of accommodation.

Si le demandeur d’asile accepte l’offre d’hébergement, l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration l’informe du lieu qu’il doit rejoindre.
Ce lieu d’hébergement est situé dans la région où le demandeur d’asile s’est présenté pour l’enregistrement de sa demande d’asile ou dans une autre région, en application du schéma national d’accueil mentionné à l’article L. 551-1.
Le demandeur d’asile qui ne s’est pas présenté au gestionnaire du lieu d’hébergement dans les cinq jours suivant la décision de l’office est considéré comme ayant refusé l’offre d’hébergement.
