Article R561-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The application for family reunification is initiated by the visa application of the family members of the refugee or beneficiary of subsidiary protection mentioned in Article L. 561-5. It is lodged with the diplomatic or consular authority in whose district these persons reside.
