Article R613-60 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The documentary notice provided for in Article L. 612-23 is drawn up on the basis of the search report at the written request of the patent proprietor, any other interested person or any administrative authority.

Documents not mentioned in the search report which the applicant wishes to be taken into consideration may be attached to the request. If they are written in a foreign language, a translation may be required by the National Institute of Industrial Property.

The application is inadmissible if it is not accompanied by proof of payment of the prescribed fee.

L’avis documentaire prévu à l’article L. 612-23 est établi sur la base du rapport de recherche à la demande écrite du titulaire du brevet, de toute autre personne intéressée ou de toute autorité administrative.

Peuvent être annexés à la demande des documents non cités dans le rapport de recherche que le demandeur souhaite voir pris en considération. S’ils sont rédigés en langue étrangère, une traduction peut être requise par l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle.

La demande est irrecevable si elle n’est pas accompagnée de la justification du paiement de la redevance prescrite.
