Article R6147-119 of the French Public Health Code

The mediators referred to in 2° of Article R. 6147-117 are a doctor mediator and a non-physician mediator.

The doctor mediator and his alternate are appointed by the Chief Medical Officer of the Armed Forces Hospital from among doctors who are or have been working in the Armed Forces Medical Corps. The medical mediator and his alternate must not work in the same department.

The non-medical mediator and his alternate are appointed by the Chief Medical Officer of the Armed Forces Hospital from among the non-medical personnel who work or have worked in the Armed Forces Medical Corps.

If one of the mediators is unable to act or is absent for a prolonged period in excess of six months, the Chief Medical Officer of the Armed Forces Hospital shall appoint another mediator, in compliance with the provisions of the two preceding paragraphs.

Les médiateurs mentionnés au 2° de l’article R. 6147-117 sont un médiateur médecin et un médiateur non médecin.

Le médiateur médecin et son suppléant sont désignés par le médecin-chef de l’hôpital des armées parmi les médecins exerçant ou ayant exercé au sein du service de santé des armées. Le médiateur médecin et son suppléant ne doivent pas exercer dans le même service.

Le médiateur non médecin et son suppléant sont désignés par le médecin-chef de l’hôpital des armées parmi le personnel non médecin exerçant ou ayant exercé au sein du service de santé des armées.

En cas d’empêchement ou d’absence prolongée d’un des médiateurs pendant une période supérieure à six mois, le médecin-chef de l’hôpital des armées en désigne un, dans le respect des dispositions des deux alinéas précédents.
