Article R6152-62 of the French Public Health Code

Hospital practitioners may be placed on standby either automatically, in the cases provided for in articles R. 6152-37 to R. 6152-39, R. 6152-42, R. 6152-50-5, R. 6152-59, R. 6152-61 and R. 6152-68, or at their request.

Hospital practitioners who are temporarily banned from practising the profession of doctor, pharmacist or from providing care to the socially insured are placed on compulsory leave for the duration of this ban.

Les praticiens hospitaliers peuvent être mis en disponibilité soit d’office, dans les cas prévus aux articles R. 6152-37 à R. 6152-39, R. 6152-42, R. 6152-50-5, R. 6152-59, R. 6152-61 et R. 6152-68, soit sur leur demande.

Les praticiens hospitaliers faisant l’objet d’une interdiction temporaire d’exercer la profession de médecin, de pharmacien ou de donner des soins aux assurés sociaux sont placés en disponibilité d’office pendant toute la durée de cette interdiction.
