Article R6152-65 of the French Public Health Code

The practitioner’s application to be placed on leave or to have his leave renewed must be submitted to the director of the establishment to which he is assigned two months before the date on which the leave is due to begin.

Placement on leave and its renewal are decided by order of the Director General of the Centre National de Gestion and, except in the cases mentioned in I of article R. 6152-64, after obtaining the opinion of the head of the department, the head of the service, the chairman of the establishment’s medical commission and the director of the establishment in which the person concerned is working for the initial application and the first renewal thereof. These opinions are not required for subsequent renewals.

La demande de mise en disponibilité ou de renouvellement est présentée deux mois avant la date à laquelle elle doit débuter au directeur de l’établissement d’affectation par le praticien.

La mise en disponibilité et son renouvellement sont prononcés par arrêté du directeur général du Centre national de gestion et, sauf dans les cas mentionnés au I de l’article R. 6152-64, après avis du chef de pôle, du chef de service, du président de la commission médicale d’établissement et du directeur de l’établissement dans lequel exerce l’intéressé pour la demande initiale et le premier renouvellement de celle-ci. Ces avis ne sont pas requis pour les renouvellements suivants.
