Article R621-10 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

When the administrative authority is consulted by the competent authorities of a Member State of the European Union, the Republic of Iceland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Kingdom of Norway or the Swiss Confederation who note the existence of a removal decision issued on serious grounds of public order or security against a foreign national to whom France has granted long-term resident – EU status pursuant to the provisions of articles L. 421-12, L. 421-25, L. 424-5, L. 424-14 and L. 426-17, it ensures that the decision is enforceable and that reasons are given.

Lorsque l’autorité administrative est consultée par les autorités compétentes d’un Etat membre de l’Union européenne, de la République d’Islande, de la Principauté du Liechtenstein, du Royaume de Norvège ou de la Confédération suisse qui constatent l’existence d’une décision d’éloignement édictée pour des motifs graves d’ordre ou de sécurité publique à l’encontre d’un étranger auquel la France a accordé le statut de résident de longue durée – UE en application des dispositions des articles L. 421-12, L. 421-25, L. 424-5, L. 424-14 et L. 426-17, elle s’assure du caractère exécutoire et des motifs de cette décision.
