Article R6311-18 of the French Public Health Code

As part of their participation in emergency medical aid and their missions, fire fighters are authorised to carry out the following acts aimed at collecting and transmitting to the regulating doctor clinical information contributing to the assessment of the victim’s state of health:

1° Taking temperature, heartbeat and blood pressure by non-invasive means;

2° Collecting blood sugar levels by brief capillary capture or transdermal reading;

3° Administering aerosols of non-medicated products;

4° Clinical severity scores;

5° Collection of oxygen or carbon monoxide saturation levels by non-invasive means.

Dans le cadre de leur participation à l’aide médicale urgente et de leurs missions, les sapeurs-pompiers sont habilités à pratiquer les actes suivants visant à recueillir et à transmettre au médecin régulateur les informations à caractère clinique contribuant à l’évaluation de l’état de santé de la victime :


1° Prise de température, de pulsation cardiaque et de pression artérielle par voie non invasive ;


2° Recueil de la glycémie par captation capillaire brève ou lecture transdermique ;


3° Administration en aérosols de produits non médicamenteux ;


4° Scores de gravité clinique ;


5° Recueil du taux de saturation en oxygène ou en monoxyde de carbone par voie non invasive.
