Article R6312-3 of the French Public Health Code

Only medical transport companies that have received the approval instituted by article L. 6312-2 are entitled to the designation of approved ambulance companies or approved air medical transport companies.

Only their vehicles or aircraft used for such transport may bear a distinctive emblem conforming to the model laid down by order of the Minister for Health.

Seules les entreprises de transports sanitaires ayant fait l’objet de l’agrément institué par l’article L. 6312-2 ont droit à l’appellation d’entreprises d’ambulances agréées ou d’entreprises de transports sanitaires aériens agréées.

Leurs véhicules ou aéronefs utilisés pour ces transports peuvent seuls être munis d’un emblème distinctif conforme au modèle fixé par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé.
