When carrying out voluntary termination of pregnancy by medication, the centre must enlist the help of a pharmacist registered on the roll of section E or H of the national order of pharmacists. In the absence of a pharmacist, a doctor from the centre, designated by name, may be authorised by the State representative, after obtaining the opinion of the regional public health pharmacist inspector or, in Mayotte and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, the public health pharmacist inspector or, in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, the territorially competent pharmacist inspector, to hold, control and manage the medicines required for the practice of voluntary interruption of pregnancy by medication. Silence on the part of the State representative is deemed to constitute tacit authorisation on expiry of a period of two months from the date of receipt of the application.
