Article R7125-9 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

At the end of their term of office, the chairman or any vice-chairman who has been delegated by the chairman, shall benefit from the end-of-term differential allowance, subject to meeting the conditions set out in article L. 7125-11.

The previous exercise of the duties of vice-president of the assembly, in the absence of delegation by the president, does not give rise to entitlement to the allowance.

For the application of these provisions, the condition of cessation of professional activity is assessed at the end of the term of office.
