Article R743-139-13 of the French Commercial code

The Chairman of the National Council or, if he is absent or unable to attend, the Vice-Chairman shall summon the parties by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt within fifteen days of the referral and at least eight days before the date of the mediation session.

A copy of the referral document shall be attached to the summons of the party that did not initiate the mediation.

The summons shall specify that the interested parties must appear in person. They may be assisted by counsel.

Le président du Conseil national ou, en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement, le vice-président convoque les parties par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception dans les quinze jours de sa saisine et huit jours au moins avant la date de la séance de médiation.

Une copie de l’acte de saisine est jointe à la convocation de la partie qui n’a pas pris l’initiative de la médiation.

La convocation précise que les intéressés doivent se présenter en personne. Ils peuvent se faire assister d’un conseil.
