Article R8124-24 of the French Labour Code

Enforcement officers shall respect the confidentiality of the complaints referred to them and shall refrain from disclosing to any person the identity of a complainant and from publicising the existence of complaints alleging an infringement or failure to comply with the provisions of Articles L. 8112-1 and L. 8112-2, except where the complainant has informed his employer in writing that he is seeking the intervention of enforcement officers to put a stop to the infringement indicated by his complaint.

Les agents respectent l’obligation de confidentialité des plaintes dont ils sont saisis et s’abstiennent de révéler à toute personne l’identité d’un plaignant et de faire état de l’existence de plaintes signalant une infraction ou un manquement aux dispositions des articles L. 8112-1 et L. 8112-2, sauf lorsque le plaignant a informé par écrit son employeur qu’il sollicitait l’intervention des agents de contrôle pour faire cesser l’infraction signalée par sa plainte.
