Article R8221-1 of the French Labour Code

Contractors working on a site for which a building permit has been issued must display their name, business name or corporate name and address on the site for as long as the permit is displayed.

The information must be displayed on a panel that can be read from the public highway. The information referred to in the first paragraph may also be displayed synthetically in the form of a two-dimensional code visible from the public highway, free of charge for any person required to consult it and generated by a secure digital device.

L’entrepreneur travaillant sur un chantier ayant donné lieu à la délivrance d’un permis de construire affiche sur ce chantier, pendant la durée de l’affichage du permis, son nom, sa raison ou sa dénomination sociale ainsi que son adresse.


L’affichage est assuré sur un panneau dont les indications sont lisibles de la voie publique. Les informations mentionnées au premier alinéa peuvent également être affichées de manière synthétique sous la forme d’un code bi-dimensionnel visible depuis la voie publique, gratuit pour toute personne appelée à le consulter et généré par un dispositif numérique sécurisé.
