Article R823-2 of the French Commercial code

Any statutory auditor appointed to certify the accounts of a person or entity shall notify the regional council of the company of which he is a member of his appointment within eight days, either by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by electronic means. In the latter case, the regional council shall immediately acknowledge receipt of the notification, mentioning the date of receipt. The regional council communicates the information to the National Council.

If the statutory auditor or the firm of statutory auditors to which he belongs transfers his domicile or registered office outside the jurisdiction of the court of appeal near which the regional company to which he is attached is located, he shall renew this declaration of appointment to the regional council of his new regional company of attachment, in the forms provided for in the previous paragraph.

Tout commissaire aux comptes chargé d’une mission de certification des comptes auprès d’une personne ou entité notifie dans le délai de huit jours sa nomination au conseil régional de la compagnie dont il est membre, soit par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception soit par voie électronique. Dans ce dernier cas, le conseil régional accuse sans délai réception de la notification en mentionnant la date de la réception. Le conseil régional communique l’information au Conseil national.

Si le commissaire aux comptes ou la société de commissaire aux comptes à laquelle il appartient transfère son domicile ou son siège hors du ressort de la cour d’appel près de laquelle se trouve la compagnie régionale à laquelle il est rattaché, il renouvelle cette déclaration de mandat au conseil régional de sa nouvelle compagnie régionale de rattachement, dans les formes prévues à l’alinéa précédent.
