Article 1146 of the French Code of civil procedure

The divorce agreement and its annexes shall be sent to the notary, at the request of the parties, by the most diligent lawyer, for filing in the notary’s minutes, within seven days of the date on which the agreement is signed.

Where they are drawn up in a foreign language, the agreement and its annexes shall be accompanied by a translation carried out by an authorised translator within the meaning of article 7 du décret n° 2007-1205 du 10 août 2007.

The agreement is filed within fifteen days of the date on which it is received by the notary.

Article 1146

La convention de divorce et ses annexes sont transmises au notaire, à la requête des parties, par l’avocat le plus diligent, aux fins de dépôt au rang des minutes du notaire, dans un délai de sept jours suivant la date de la signature de la convention.

Lorsqu’elles sont rédigées en langue étrangère, la convention et ses annexes sont accompagnées d’une traduction effectuée par un traducteur habilité au sens de l’article 7 du décret n° 2007-1205 du 10 août 2007.

Le dépôt de la convention intervient dans un délai de quinze jours suivant la date de la réception de la convention par le notaire.
