Article 2-24 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Any association that has been duly registered for at least five years on the date and of the events and whose statutory purpose is to defend or assist students and pupils of educational establishments who are victims of hazing may exercise the rights granted to civil parties in respect of the offences provided for in the section 3 bis of Chapter V of Title II of Book II of the Penal Code.

However, the association can only bring an action if it can prove that it has received the victim’s agreement or, if the victim is a minor or a protected adult, that of his or her legal representative.

Article 2-24

Toute association régulièrement déclarée depuis au moins cinq ans à la date et des faits et ayant pour objet statutaire la défense ou l’assistance des étudiants et élèves d’établissements d’enseignement victimes de bizutage peut exercer les droits reconnus à la partie civile en ce qui concerne les infractions prévues à la section 3 bis du chapitre V du titre II du livre II du code pénal.

Toutefois, l’association n’est recevable dans son action que si elle justifie avoir reçu l’accord de la victime ou, si celle-ci est un mineur ou un majeur protégé, celui de son représentant légal.
