Article 312-40 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

Production companies must:
1° Have signed an audiovisual production contract with one or more authors or, where the work belongs to the animation genre, jointly with one or more literary authors and one or more graphic authors;
2° Make a personal contribution to financing the development of the audiovisual work project by making a cash contribution equal to at least 20% of the amount of aid awarded.

Les entreprises de production doivent :
1° Avoir conclu un contrat de production audiovisuelle avec un ou plusieurs auteurs ou, lorsque l’œuvre appartient au genre animation, conjointement avec un ou plusieurs auteurs littéraires et un ou plusieurs auteurs graphiques ;
2° Contribuer à titre personnel au financement du développement du projet d’œuvre audiovisuelle par un apport en numéraire au moins égal à 20 % du montant de l’aide attribuée.
