Article 312-45 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

In the event of production, project development aid and, where applicable, preparation aid granted in application of Chapter I of this Title, may not have the effect of increasing the total amount of public financial aid to more than 50% of the final production cost of the work.

En cas de mise en production, les aides au développement de projets et, le cas échéant, les aides à la préparation attribuées en application du chapitre Ier du présent titre, ne peuvent avoir pour effet de porter à plus de 50 % du coût définitif de production de l’œuvre le montant total des aides financières publiques.
