Article 411-31 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The production company has two years from the date of signature of the agreement to apply for a cinematographic exhibition licence, unless an exemption is granted by the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée, taking into account production conditions. Failing this, the aid granted will be repaid.

L’entreprise de production dispose d’un délai de deux ans à compter de la date de la signature de la convention pour demander le visa d’exploitation cinématographique, sauf dérogation accordée par le président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée compte tenu notamment des conditions de production. A défaut, l’aide attribuée est reversée.
