Article 411-54 of the French Cinema and Moving Image Code

The production company has a period of two years from notification of the decision to award the aid in which to request the use of all the sums in the financial envelope. On expiry of this period, the production company forfeits the right to obtain payment of the balance of the financial package.
In exceptional circumstances and at the reasoned request of the production company, particularly in view of production or development conditions, this period may be extended for a period not exceeding six months by decision of the President of the Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.

Article 411-54

L’entreprise de production dispose d’un délai de deux ans à compter de la notification de la décision d’attribution de l’aide pour que l’utilisation de l’ensemble des sommes de l’enveloppe financière ait été demandée. A l’expiration de ce délai, l’entreprise de production est déchue de la faculté d’obtenir le versement du solde de l’enveloppe financière.
A titre exceptionnel et sur demande motivée de l’entreprise de production, compte tenu notamment des conditions de production ou de développement, ce délai peut être prolongé d’une durée qui ne peut excéder six mois par décision du président du Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée.
