The sums entered in the automatic online broadcasting account are invested in order to contribute to the following expenses directly allocated to online broadcasting, excluding the publisher’s own operating expenses:
1° Technical expenditure relating to putting works online, including expenditure relating to making works secure and accessible to people with disabilities;
2° Expenditure relating to the editorial content of works;
3° Expenditure relating to the promotion and marketing of works;
4° Expenditure relating to the improvement of the offering and the means of accessing works;
5° Expenditure relating to subtitling and dubbing;
6° Expenditure relating to the acquisition of:
a) Rights to make long-term cinematographic works available that meet the conditions set out in articles 211-7 to 211-13. These sums may be invested as soon as investment approval has been granted or, if this has not been requested, as soon as production approval has been granted and no later than one year after the first commercial showing of the works in cinemas;
b) Rights to make available short-lived cinematographic works for which production aid has been granted. These sums may be invested no later than two years after the cinematographic exhibition licence has been issued;
c) Rights to make available heritage cinematographic works that meet the eligibility conditions set out in article 511-4.
