Article 661 of the French Code of civil procedure

The competent authority shall inform the judicial officer of the steps taken; it shall send him, where appropriate, any minutes or receipts recording the delivery of the document. These documents shall be kept by the bailiff at the disposal of the court.

L’autorité compétente informe l’huissier de justice des diligences faites ; elle lui transmet, le cas échéant, tout procès-verbal ou récépissé constatant la remise de l’acte. Ces documents sont tenus par l’huissier de justice à la disposition de la juridiction.
