Article 697-2 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The specialized military courts mentioned in article 697, within whose jurisdiction is located either the home port of a naval vessel, or the home airfield of a military aircraft, have jurisdiction over any offence committed on board or against that ship or aircraft, wherever it may be.

Les juridictions spécialisées en matière militaire mentionnées à l’article 697, dans le ressort desquelles est situé soit le port d’attache d’un navire de la marine nationale, soit l’aérodrome de rattachement d’un aéronef militaire, sont compétentes pour connaître de toute infraction commise à bord ou à l’encontre de ce navire ou de cet aéronef, en quelque lieu qu’il se trouve.
