Article 748-3 of the French Code of civil procedure

The dispatches, deliveries and notifications mentioned in Article 748-1 shall be the subject of an electronic notice of receipt sent by the addressee, which shall indicate the date and, where applicable, the time thereof.

Where the dispatches, deliveries and notifications referred to in Article 748-1 are made via a platform for dematerialised exchanges between the court registry and the persons referred to in Article 692-1, they shall be the subject of an electronic notice of availability sent to the recipient at the address chosen by the recipient, which shall indicate the date and, where applicable, the time of availability.

These electronic notices of receipt or of availability take the place of the visa, stamp and signature or other indication of receipt which are affixed to the document or its copy where these formalities are provided for by this code.

In the event of transmission by electronic means, the provisions of this code providing for transmission in several copies and the physical return of the documents and papers delivered or notified shall not be applied.

Les envois, remises et notifications mentionnés à l’article 748-1 font l’objet d’un avis électronique de réception adressé par le destinataire, qui indique la date et, le cas échéant, l’heure de celle-ci.

Lorsque les envois, remises et notifications mentionnés à l’article 748-1 se font par l’intermédiaire d’une plateforme d’échanges dématérialisés entre le greffe et les personnes mentionnées à l’article 692-1, ils font l’objet d’un avis électronique de mise à disposition adressé au destinataire à l’adresse choisie par lui, lequel indique la date et, le cas échéant l’heure de la mise à disposition.

Ces avis électroniques de réception ou de mise à disposition tiennent lieu de visa, cachet et signature ou autre mention de réception qui sont apposés sur l’acte ou sa copie lorsque ces formalités sont prévues par le présent code.

En cas de transmission par voie électronique, il n’est pas fait application des dispositions du présent code prévoyant la transmission en plusieurs exemplaires et la restitution matérielle des actes et pièces remis ou notifiés.
