Where socio-judicial supervision has been imposed on a person sentenced to a term of criminal imprisonment of fifteen years or more for one of the offences referred to in Article 706-53-13, the regional secure detention court may, in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 706-53-15, decide to extend all or some of the obligations to which the person is subject, beyond the period ordered by the trial court and the limits provided for in Article 131-36-1 of the Penal Code, by placing him or her under security surveillance for a period of two years.
The provisions of the second to seventh paragraphs of Article 723-37 of this Code shall apply, as well as those of article 723-38.
This article is applicable even if the person placed under socio-judicial supervision had been conditionally released.
