Article 781 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Any person who, by assuming a false name or capacity, has had an extract from the criminal record of a third party issued to them is punishable by a fine of €7,500.

Any person who has provided imaginary identity information that has caused or could have caused erroneous entries to be made in the criminal record shall be liable to the same penalties.

The same penalties shall apply to anyone who has all or some of the entries in the full record referred to in article 777-2 of this code.

Article 781

Quiconque en prenant un faux nom ou une fausse qualité, s’est fait délivrer un extrait du casier judiciaire d’un tiers est puni de 7 500 euros d’amende.

Est puni des mêmes peines celui qui aura fourni des renseignements d’identité imaginaires qui ont provoqué ou auraient pu provoquer des mentions erronées au casier judiciaire.

Est puni des mêmes peines celui qui se sera fait délivrer par l’intéressé tout ou partie des mentions du relevé intégral visé à l’article 777-2 du présent code.
