Article A141-1 of the French Insurance Code

The prior information of the policyholder referred to in the first paragraph of article L. 141-6 of the Insurance Code is provided in the form of a specific document, separate from any other contractual or pre-contractual documents.

This specific document mentions the acts which the insurance company intends to inform the policyholder that it has not given the policyholder authority to perform. It must also indicate who is authorised to perform these acts.

L’information préalable de l’adhérent mentionnée au premier alinéa de l’article L. 141-6 du code des assurances est fournie sous la forme d’un document spécifique, distinct de tous autres documents contractuels ou précontractuels.

Ce document spécifique comporte la mention des actes dont l’entreprise d’assurance entend informer l’adhérent qu’elle n’a pas donné pouvoir au souscripteur de les accomplir. Il doit indiquer de même qui a pouvoir d’accomplir ces actes.
