Article A211-10 of the French Insurance Code

The certificate or provisional certificate must be affixed to the inside of the vehicle, one side visible from the outside, on the lower right-hand side of the windscreen.

For two- or three-wheeled vehicles, the certificate or provisional certificate must be affixed, one side visible from the outside, to a surface located forward of the plane formed by the front forks of the said vehicles.

Le certificat ou le certificat provisoire doit être apposé, à l’intérieur du véhicule, recto visible de l’extérieur, sur la partie inférieure droite du pare-brise.

Pour les véhicules à deux ou trois roues, le certificat ou le certificat provisoire doit être apposé, recto visible à l’extérieur, sur une surface située à l’avant du plan formé par la fourche avant desdits véhicules.
