The aptitude test to which the prefect or the minister responsible for sport may decide to subject the applicant, in whole or in part, for the activities mentioned in 1° and 2° of article R. 212-91 and for the activity of mid-mountain guide, under the conditions provided for in article R. 212-90-1 and in 3° of article R. 212-93, aims to verify the applicant’s ability to supervise participants safely. It comprises two tests:
1° The technical test provided for in Title VII and Annex V of the modified Order of 11 April 2012 relating to the specific training for the State diploma of national alpine ski instructor, which constitutes the test for verifying technical skills ;
2° The safety test provided for in Title X and Annex VII-3 of the amended Order of 11 April 2012 relating to the specific training for the national ski instructor diploma in alpine skiing, which constitutes the test to verify theoretical and practical knowledge and safety skills.
If the applicant is subject to both tests, the technical test is assessed first. If he fails, the declarant may not take the safety test.
